⚽ Ballina 6s – Term 2 Competition Postponed ⚽

To our Ballina 6s community,
It is with heavy hearts that we share the news that the Term 2 Ballina 6s competition has been postponed due to ongoing wet weather and continued field closures.

After weeks of unpredictable conditions and consultation with local sporting clubs and Ballina Shire Council, we have reached a point where continuing the competition safely and fairly is no longer possible this term.

We know how much players, teams, families, and supporters look forward to Ballina 6s each week. We are deeply sorry for the disappointment this decision may cause.

Please know this decision was not made lightly. Wet weather and field closures are completely out of our control, and the safety of our players and the preservation of our fields must remain our top priority.

What happens next?
- All player and team registrations will be transferred to the Term 3 competition.
- Team payments will be credited and carried over to Term 3.

We look forward to a fresh start in Term 3. Regards - Ballina 6s management, referees and voluntees.

⚠ TONIGHT'S ROUND POSTPONED 🌧

Due to the rain overnight and the condition of the fields, all Ballina 6s matches scheduled for tonight have been postponed.

While we know everyone is keen to play, player safety and field preservation come first.

We'll keep everyone updated regarding rescheduled fixtures and look forward to getting everyone back on the fields.

⚠️ Term 2 Round 4 fixtures postponed – Monday 18th of May

Due to the fields being too wet, all games scheduled for this Monday have been postponed.

Double round weeks will be played at the soonest possible date, to allow postponed fixtures to be completed. Double round weeks will have games being played on both Monday and Wednesday nights.
We will provide an update soon regarding the rescheduling of these fixtures⚽️☀️

At Ballina 6s, we’ve created Fill In teams across a number of competitions to help avoid bye rounds and make sure everyone still gets a game each week ⚽

These Fill In teams are called “Throw Ins” and also give players the opportunity to enjoy some extra game time throughout the season.

Teams scheduled against the Throw Ins will receive an automatic 3-0 win recorded on the ladder, while the match itself is still played to ensure both teams get a full game on the night 🙌

Each week, keep an eye out for the Throw Ins schedule — if you’re keen for an extra run, come down and fill in for the Throw Ins team when spots are available!

This week’s Throw Ins fixtures:

• Men’s Comp: Throw Ins v Team Generation Gap — Field 5 at 6:00pm
• Women’s Comp: Throw Ins v Señorita Margaritas — Field 8 at 7:00pm

Due to the fields being too wet, all games scheduled for this Monday have been postponed.

This decision has been made to protect the playing surface and ensure player safety.

We will provide an update soon regarding the rescheduling of these fixtures.

📢 Term 2 Draw Now Live in Dribl!

We’re excited to confirm that the Term 2 competition draw has now been finalised and is available to view in Dribl.

Please take a moment to check your team’s schedule so you know when you’re playing each week.

All players must be registered in Dribl to take the field. If you completed your registration in Term 1, this will automatically carry through to Term 2 — no need to register again.

An email will be sent to all team managers confirming their team code, along with a list of players who still need to complete their registration.

Let’s get everything sorted before kick-off — looking forward to a great term of football ⚽
