The Warrnambool Pickleball Open's second day was nothing short of spectacular, offering thrilling entertainment, fierce competition and as always an atmosphere of camaraderie and true Highlander values.
Highlanders excelled, earning
6 Gold medals,
3 Silver medals,
5 Bronze medals and an impressive 7 finishing 4th in Bronze Medal Matches.

Our team should be proud of their outstanding performance and the remarkable team spirit displayed throughout the event. We remain grateful always.

Warrnambool Classic – Day One Update
A strong start for our Highlanders today, with good energy on and off the courts. We saw some excellent pickleball across all divisions. Many of our players earned their place in medal matches today, some missing out. It’s been great to see the Highlanders shirts out in force — a real sense of pride, identity and team spirit among the group.Three more days ahead and plenty of great pickleball still to come.

Dear Highlanders and Friends,
As many of our members, including a large portion of our committee and duty crew, are heading to the Warrnambool Pickleball Open this weekend, there will be no pickleball sessions from Thursday through to Sunday.
We wish all players travelling to Warrnambool the very best of luck. Play hard, have fun and most importantly enjoy the experience.
It has been wonderful to see so many of our members proudly wearing their Highlanders gear at tournaments across Victoria. The strong sense of identity, team spirit and community within our club has been noticed and complimented by players, officials and spectators alike.
Thank you for continuing to represent Central Highlands Pickleball Club with pride, sportsmanship and the Highlander spirit.

Central Highlands Pickleball club gratefully acknowledges and appreciates the support provided through the grant awarded to us earlier this year.

Thanks to this funding, we have been able to purchase new nets, balls, paddles, tournament timers, a first aid kit and coaching equipment. These resources have strengthened our club, enhanced the experience for our members, and helped position us well within the community.

Our commitment has always been to be a club run by players, for players. We strive to keep participation affordable, provide a professionally managed environment and create opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to enjoy the game. We also believe that our committee members should be able to spend time enjoying the courts alongside our members, helping to foster the welcoming and inclusive culture that makes our club special. Thanks for letting that happen!

We would also like to sincerely thank our members for their ongoing support with setting up and packing down each week. Preparing 12 courts is a significant task and can be tiring, but the willingness of our members to pitch in and help is a wonderful example of the community spirit that exists within Central Highlands Pickleball Club.
Together, we continue to build a strong, active and connected pickleball community.

All hail, Unky Jase!
The battle for the Central Highlands crown was nothing short of legendary tonight! The rallies were fierce, the firefights were loud, and the court was alive with true Highlander spirit.
​While the top tier of our nobility fought valiantly until the final seconds—with Paul, Roger, and Richie staging electric campaigns for the title—there can only be one ruler of the court.
​All hail King Jase, who defended his honor with style and pace to hold onto the crown for another week!
​Who will rise to challenge the monarchy next fortnight? See you on the courts over the weekend.

Good morning friends.

A good proportion of club members are headed to Warrnambool next weekend (30+) The event has been significant for several players, having participated for the first time three years ago. Since then, tournment particiaption has grown in Ballarat region, players gaining confidence and community spirit among the Ballarat region.
Pickleball's sense of community is a major draw for me. The Warrnambool tournament holds a special place in my memories. It's heartening to see friends from two Ballarat clubs participating.

Highlanders, there is extra sessions scheduled this week. So do take advantage. Next term promises even more pickleball opportunities.

Hear ye, hear ye, Highlanders and friends from afar.
​Today’s King of the Court crowned a calm spirit, a man of noble chivalry and friendly competition, where the gentlest of our gentle souls claimed the ultimate prize.
​Fair ladies Liz and Lizzie showed immense grace under pressure, while Lord Hitesh fought valiantly in pursuit of the Highlander Crown. Across all courts, every rally was met with the utmost fair play and good humor.

​All hail King Brendan, Sovereign of the Court for this round!

Another fantastic Thursday King of the Court for the Highlanders.
Fast rallies, clever d***s, big drives and plenty of laughs filled the courts all night. Each Highlander pushed hard for the crown. They brought speed and sharp reflexes to every rally. Brilliant pickleball was played, everyone chased down every ball with true Highlander determination.
But tonight belonged to one man. Calm in the kitchen and strong across the court, King Ben claimed the crown for Week 5.
Congratulations King Ben.
We applaud you.
