On Saturday night the KZS Motorsport team made the trip over to Heytesbury Stockfeeds Simpson Speedway Speedway for round 6 of the SRA Victoria 360/LS Sprintcar Series.

QUICK RESULTS

Heat 1: 5th - 6th
Heat 2: 4th - 4th
B Main: 2nd - 2nd
A Main: 18th - 12th

The car had good speed and Koby gained confidence each time he hit the track. However, while racing for 3rd in the first heat the ‘VA26’ and another car made contact while going for the same piece of real estate at the entry to turn 3.

In the second heat Koby started 4th and after a little battle for 4th and 5th early he was able to bring it home in 4th.

The team started the B Main 2nd and Koby got the lead early, but with just 2 laps to go while battling to hold onto the lead, the KZS Motorsport Cool Chassis had a battery malfunction. Although thankfully it held on just long enough and the team was about to transfer into the A Main.

Starting 18th, the teams plan was to just finish. So that was exactly what they did, recovering to a 12th place finish.

Tonight the team head back to Heytesbury Stockfeeds Simpson Speedway for round 6 of the SRA Victoria 360/LS Sprintcar Series.
After a tough night the last time out Koby is looking to bounce back and get a good result.

On Saturday night Koby and the team made the trip over to Heytesbury Stockfeeds Simpson Speedway for the 10K Shootout.
The night was never going to be easy with nearly 50 cars nominated and some of the best drivers in the country and one American in attendance.

The KZS Motorsport team started the night on the back foot after going out late in time trials and missing the invert by one spot.
With Koby missing the invert this meant he would start his heats from 9th and 10th. After not being able to move forward in the first heat from 9th and only managing to finish 8th from 10th in the second it was going to take a lot of luck and enormous drive for the VA26 to make the A Main.

Koby started 4th in the C Main and due to a very messy start he got shuffled back 8th. By the end of the C Koby was able to make his way back to 5th but falling one spot short of a transfer into the back of the B Main.

Results:
Time Trials: 17th (+1.297)
Heat 1: 9th - 10th
Heat 2: 10th - 8th
C Main: 4th - 5th

Although it was a very disappointing night for the team it was a great learning opportunity for Koby and allowed him to gain some much needed laps at the tricky little bullring.

Koby would like to give a big shoutout to his crew Mark, Pete, and Peachy for giving him an awesome car all night.

Rain wins Round 2!

Round 2 of the SRA Victoria 360/LS Sprintcar Series was won by Mother Nature.
It was shaping up to be a fantastic night with the KZS Motorsports VA26 showing heaps of speed in the heat races and with Koby doing his job behind the wheel.

Results:

Heat 1: 2nd - 1st
Heat 2: 6th - 3rd
A Main: 2nd - 🌧️

Unfortunately this weekend Round 3 at Bairnsdale has been postponed due to the weather so the team is now preparing for round 4 at Blue Ribbon Raceway, Horsham.

On Saturday night Koby and the team headed to Premier Speedway, Warrnambool for round 1 of the SRA Victoria 360/LS Sprintcar Series.

With there being nearly 40 cars it was always going to be a challenge night but the VA26 Cool Chassis was good enough to lock straight into the A main.

RESULTS:

Heat 1: 7th - 6th
Heat2: 2nd - 2nd
A Main: 14th - 12th

Not the result Koby was looking for but he did show some good speed throughout the night.

The team is now getting prepared for round 2 this weekend at Ballarat.
