A big congratulations to Saxon, our Referee of the Week!!

Saxon deserves recognition for stepping in to help support our club and, most importantly, the love of the game.

It’s referees like Saxon who help make sure our players can get out on the pitch, enjoy their games and continue to grow and develop.

Jaymon has been recognised for his commitment, confidence and positive attitude on the pitch. Jaymon continues to show great leadership, respect for players and coaches, and a willingness to help others learn and improve every week.

We love seeing our junior referees grow in confidence while helping create a positive and enjoyable environment for everyone involved in our game. Thank you Jaymon!

Happy Sunday AJSC Refs!! ⚽️

Next week, we’ll be sending out an email inviting our junior referees and their parents to a referee catch-up!
It will be a great opportunity to come together, touch base, and:
⚽️ Go over some technical skills and development
⚽️ Hear your feedback on the season from both our referees and parents
⚽️ Chat about your experiences this season
⚽️ Start planning our end-of-year wind-up 🎉

We’d love to see as many of our junior refs and families there as possible!

Seb consistently shows up, respects everyone on the pitch and does a fantastic job guiding and directing our junior players.

We are celebrating last weeks referee of the week, Jayden! 🙌

Jayden has been recognised by the coaches for his approachable nature, willingness to teach and encourage the kids, and his unmistakable hard blow on the whistle!

It’s fantastic to see our young referees growing in confidence, supporting our players and giving it a crack each week.

Our junior referees deserve encouragement and an opportunity to grow and learn. Mistakes are just those opportunities. We aim to progress of junior refs.

Every weekend, these young people step onto the field, do their best, and make decisions in real time all so our kids can play the game they love. They're learning, growing, and showing the courage to give refereeing a go.

If we want more referees in our game, we need to build them up, not tear them down. Negative comments from the sidelines don't just affect one game they can be the reason someone never picks up a whistle again.

Remember, without referees, there is no game.

Let's lead by example. Cheer loudly, respect the decisions, and thank our junior refs for their time and commitment. A few kind words and encouragement can make all the difference. 👏

It takes courage to put yourself out there, make split-second decisions, and keep learning with every game.
No referee starts as an expert we all improve through experience.

Last week's Junior Ref of the Week was Seth!
He has shown exactly what great refereeing is all about quick on the whistle, respectful to everyone on the field, and patient in teaching and guiding our young players throughout the game.

It takes confidence, communication and a positive attitude to wear the whistle, and we're proud to recognise his fantastic job.
