The boys on rubbish duty around the fields: $50 bucks for whoever picked up the most rubbish and the winner was Jireh! Nikora was apparently in chill mode so not interested 🤣🤣

Whanau, the week has finally arrived: three days of epic touch football featuring NZ Māori Touch and Te Tai Kōura (Gold Coast Touch) as well as other GC rep teams. The best of the best will be there showing off their incredible talent!!

We want to see as many of our Gold Coast Māori Sports whanau there as possible all in your GCMS gear. This includes the welcome ceremony and whakatau on Wednesday at 12 noon if you can make it (totally understand that there is kura and mahi - me and mine are taking a Māori mental health day to be there).

We will have our GCMS and MKEH 6x3 marquees set up across the event; there will be kai after the welcome ceremony/whakatau and Kimi and I are doing the sausage sizzle Wednesday night (don't panic I am not cooking, Kimi will be on that duty haha).

If you can't make it, we understand ... you can watch it live on Māori TV+ online or their youtube channel and we will be taking as many photos/videos of the games as we can to share on our socials.

We had an amazing day at the Brisbane Metro 53rd Anniversary Touch Tournament. Congrats to both our teams - you did amazingly despite some really wet field conditions. Most importantly you represented Gold Coast Māori Sports so well - and our entire club could not be more proud.

I forgot to tell you all that we are sponsoring the Gold Coast Touch Associations- Te Tai Kōura tournament with NZ Māori Touch on June 6th at Owens Park (Southport)- its going to be an incredible day of touch talent and celebrating all things Māori... we want as many of our rōpū there please wearing your GCMS gear - and that extends to all of our new whanau from yesterday.

Have an amazing Sunday e te whanau- for those going to the Magic Round I hope to see you there!
