Fruit, veggies, meat, fish, nuts, seeds, water - SHOULD be the MAJORITY of what you put in your mouth…

Definitely not saying don’t enjoy factory created food, just be mindful of the affects it has on the running of your body.

The human body is designed to move. The more moving we do daily, the longer our bodies will keep living and moving.

Yes I am biased towards as it’s the one style of moving that has allowed me to do so many other physical activities -

MTB, Spartan Races, Racquetball, Hiking, Carry Poppy in a back pack and on shoulders, play games with Poppy.

There are so many ways to move, find one, find three but just start moving daily.

If you are struggling to find something, WALK… Accumulate 30mins through the day, and build from there…

5️⃣ Pillars of Health 👌🏻

I first came across the “5 Factors of Health” 2 years ago while listening to on his podcast “Chasing Excellence”.

After hearing the podcast over the next few weeks whatever I was listening to or reading other versions of “5 factors” would show up. From chiropractors to holistic practitioners to nutritionists to yoga professionals.

There were slight differences in wording and classifications however they were all very similar.

Any coach can stand in front of the whiteboard and give a brief, walk around the class offering encouragement and modify a workout.

For me, coaching is more then the previous sentence. I want the members who I have the privilege to coach gain more then the bare minimum.

I want to affect true change for them, so they can have the physical and mental freedom to do whatever their heart desires. Play with their kids more, climb a mountain, get in and out of the car with ease, take on a 5km run what ever it is, my aim is to provide the knowledge and tools to make it happen.

The “5 Factors of Health” are the 5 areas of your health and wellness that YOU have the most control over. Obviously (or maybe not so obviously), putting our effort and our focus into what we can control is the best use of our time.

Control what YOU can CONTROL.

👊🏻 The Journey, So Far 🤙🏻

In 2014 my girlfriend at the time, now wife suggested we do a Personal Trainers Course. I had a little chuckle as I was anything but healthy. I played a little bit of sport, the occasional veggie or piece of fruit would make its way into my body throughout the week. I enjoyed weekend binges with mates and was extremely negative in the way I spoke to myself.

Fast forward to now you’ll find a much healthier human, in every aspect. Through the CrossFit methodology as well as giving other types of fitness a try over the last 9yrs, I have been able to transform my physical, mental and emotional well-being.

As a CrossFit Coach and PT since 2014, I have had the opportunity to work with 100’s of people from all walks of life. Kids to grandparents, to the people wanting to lose weight to the people who wanted to run 10km.

Each person who has trusted me to deliver my knowledge and expertise, I have learnt from as well. For me, working with people is a learning opportunity in which I embrace. These opportunities allow me to build my abilities and pass this on to other clients in a similar position.

It has been quite the journey to arrive at this moment in time. Many hard knock lessons in all areas of life. On top of the hard lessons there have been many amazing winning lessons.

I am grateful for every, one of them.

In between the practical lessons of life, I have listened to 1000’s of podcast, listened to and read my share of books and completed many courses around the topics of fitness, nutrition, coaching, business, leadership, and health.

As a father to an almost 4yr old and our second due in August, I understand the stresses of life with children. Life as a dad is a constant juggling act, one that I love. Being a father allows me to be a role model to my little girl, so far it seems to be working with Poppy wanting to do workouts with me, go for rides and always up for a wrestle.

It is time to share what I have learnt with anyone who is willing to have a crack at transforming into a healthier, stronger, happier version of themselves.
