UNDER-17 PREMIERS 🏆

A brilliant performance from our under-17s to claim tonight’s ADCA premiership!

A comprehensive 10-wicket win over Railways capping a terrific season for our young Lion cubs to start a big few days off on the perfect note.

Captain Evan Pretorius named player of the final for his 50 retired not out from 40 balls as we chased 81 to win inside 14 overs.

Oliver Harrington and Matthew Cant with two wickets each to help remove the Tigers for just 80.

Although the juniors changed to mainly T20s under lights this season it has been a huge success so well done to all involved.

Great job to first-year coach Hayden Davies and his support team and finally to all our players we are so proud of you all!

Railways 80 (Matthew Cant 2-8, Oliver Harrington 2-8, Owen Pretorius 1-2) def by Royals 0-83 (Evan Pretorius 50 ret no, Patrick House 22no)

3 THROUGH TO THE BIG DANCE

Fantastic weekend for the club as our A and B-grade and 17s lads all secured huge victories to book decider berths!

From Moons' destructive century, Nuttsy's sensational 5fa, Gus' aura-filled 90 and H's super 17s, this weekend had it all.

The A-graders notched a mammoth 108-run victory over Peaks, behind a freakish ton from Mooners, his second this season. After being asked to bat, Moons whacked 131 from 132 with 3 horns and 11 fours to spearhead a mammoth first-innings total of 9-260 from just 45 overs. Greens added a rapid 39 as the two skippers combined for a match-defining 100-run third-wicket stand. Having essentially batted Peaks out of the game, big Noots then claimed a superb 5fa with 5-44 from eight overs. El Presidente took a disgusting 3fa, which included a lefty. We will lock horns with Peaks in the A-Grade GF on Saturday!

The McGoos secured 2 stirring wins over the weekend, beating Barker on Saturday before Coll Park on Sunday. On Sunday, Gus scored his best-ever total in seniors with 90 from 80 rocks, with 12 fours and depositing two sixes, before succumbing to calf cramps and being runout by half a pitch length. He also took 4-37 with the ball. He is him. We will take on Manypeaks in the GF at Hard North on Satdy.

Unfortunately, Harro and the thirds were knocked out after a tough loss to Peaks on Sunday. They made it through to the prelim after a terrific victory over Narrikup on Saturday, courtesy of a 3fa from Housey and 34 from Robbo. However, were met by a clinical Peaks side on Sunday, where they went down by 60 runs. Nevertheless, a great effort by the C-graders this season!

H still has the 17s humming and a chance to lift the premiership this week. They will take on Railways at Turf North on Friday.

Best of luck to all the boys who pull on the Royal Blue this weekend!

THE MOMENT EVERYONE’S WAITED FOR!!

The people’s champ, the B Grade GOAT and Frank’s human steak knife.

Dylan ‘Pickle’ Trigwell will make his long awaited and long overdue A-grade debut at the weekend v Barker. After little deliberation, many firm handshakes and a successful bowl-off, Pikelet will trundle out with the fellas as they aim to clinch a finals double chance.

Here’s the moment he told his parents. (Fair to say Trigger and Mum were overawed).

FRANK'S WEEKEND

All-rounder Matt France had a weekend to remember as the two-dayer specialist belted a classy century to nearly carry our A-grade to victory over Manypeaks. Frank's innings was both elegant and brutal as he notched up an impressive run-a-ball 104 with 9 fours and three sixes before treating himself to the Colonel's Giant Feast.

Unfortunately, we went down by 30 runs to the pace setters after losing wickets in clumps towards the back end of the innings. In pursuit of their 6-243, Linc scored a well-made 42 and Parksy (19) provided some highlights.

After Greeny lost another toss, we were sent into the field and bowled pretty tight areas with not too many boundary balls, but were met by a diligent outfit. H took 2-51 from his 10, Nuttsy was superb with 0-39 from 10, while Roo (1-42) and Frank (1-41) were dialed.

Frank's unreal weekend started on the Friday night's T20 against Coll Park where his 4-14 spell helped seal victory and book a T20 grand final berth! He took two wickets in his first over to set the tone and help restrict Coll Park to 7-152. A one-legged Greeny then bashed 72 from 48 rocks behind 10 fours, while Linc scored 38 to help reel in the total with ease.

With the B's having a well deserved break, the C-grade secured a 52-run win over Sharks. Spritely veteran Harro scored 51 from 79 at the top of the order while future GOAT Owen Pretorius scored 44 in the middle. Palandri then provided some late sparks with 35-red from 21 deliveries. We then rock and rolled Sharks for just 145 runs with Big Ev taking 4-41 and Daub's estranged father? Rob Berwick taking 3-13.

As we approach the pointy end of the season, let's make a big effort to get to training with all three teams pushing towards finals! Onya Frank.
