20 drivers will take part in this weekend's Murray Bridge Speedway MMS race night. NSW throttle stomper, Ashton Mineeff Racing is making the 2,500km round trip for the first time in nearly 3yrs, to Murray Bridge Speedway. By his own words, the "little LS" has been holding its own this season against the big boys (open class Sprintcars), with multiple top-10 finishes across the season to date.
The LS platform has prompted a spike in Sprintcar registration in South Australia this season. Spectators can expect to see eight of those LS cars in action this weekend, with the likes of Bronson Mauro, Hayden Vickers, Jack Mccarthy and Luke Squires, along with the Bordertown trio of Hilton & Isla Rowett of Rowett Motorsport Group and Erin Virgin. Bailey Heinrich of Heinrich Motorsport will also join the role call, who has also made the jump to Sprintcars via the use of an LS engine package. Although his first few meetings have been plagued by minor motor issues, Heinrich is confident the team has found the issue and is keen to see what he can put together with a full night of racing.
Hot shoe Jack McCarthy will once again pull double duties between the Sprintcar & Wingless; both powered by his own JM23 built motors. Bronson Mauro also stepping up this season from wingless to Sprintcar competition, also utilising a JM23 LS package. Lobethal's Luke Squires will be chomping at the bit to get into Whyalla Earthworks Racing. Racing SA52 after spending Speedweek with Matt Egel on the spanners; Luke's keen to get behind the wheel himself. Keke Falland Motorsport will be back in action this weekend. The Riverland's Gas Man and his Roush Yates Ford 360ci are always eager to put on a show for the crowd. Brendan Guerin 7 Day Spares Racing will be making the trip down from Broken Hill getting some vital laps in the 360ci prior to Simpson's $10k to win show. Victorians making the trek over are James Oliver, Koby OโShannassy, Zack Rogerson, Thomas McDonald, David Dennison and Brett Clarke.
