Sharing the highs, lows & behind-the-scenes action from the track.

Had to stop for this photo on the way home. 🦎

Exo Terra Australia have been with us as our title sponsor from the very beginning of our Circuit Excel journey, and it’s pretty cool to look back at how far we’ve come with their support.

Motorsport is never a one-person effort, and having partners who believe in what we’re doing makes a huge difference. We’re incredibly grateful to Exo Terra for continuing to back Quinn Racing and proudly carrying their name on the #95.

A massive thank you as well to Aqua One Australia, API Fishcare, Seaview Aquarium Centre and AquaLabs, who have all been major supporters of the team since the start.

These brands have been part of this journey from the early days, through our first races, the highs, the lows, and everything in between.

We genuinely couldn’t do what we do without them.

Thank you for being part of the journey. 🏁

Three-wide at turn one, things get intense. Luckily, I played this one safe.

Tyler and I ended up side-by-side, neither of us particularly interested in conceding the corner, and eventually our wheels interlocked and sent us both for a trip through the grass.
No hard feelings between us. Just racing. 🏁

Bit of a frustrating race weekend overall.

We came into the weekend hoping to leave somewhere around the top 5 in the championship. After this one, I think we’ll be lucky to still be inside the top 10 😬

Qualifying was cut short by a red flag, The lap I did get in, I was completely on my own with no draft. At The Bend, that can be worth up to 0.7 seconds, which hurts when just 1.7 seconds separated 1st to 17th.

Race 1: I sucked.

Threw it off the road a few times, got frustrated, and kept making silly mistakes.

Then, just to finish things off, the gearbox threw a cog on the cooldown lap. Sounded like a gr***de going off. And the car came back on a flatbed.

Race 2: the car sucked.

I’d given my spare gearbox to another competitor who needed it, so we ended up playing gearbox musical chairs. Unfortunately, the one we ended up with was a dud. Every gear change was a fight, accompanied by some truly horrible grinding noises.

The car also threw a sensor fault and started pulling ignition timing, which meant we were basically a snail on the straights.

The pace was there, but it’s pretty hard to make a move when the car you’re pushing out of the final corner has pulled three car lengths on you by the end of the straight.

Race 3: it finally came together.

Third gearbox of the weekend went in, we made some moves, avoided the carnage and finally got to show a bit of pace. Unfortunately, we just ran out of laps to get ourselves out of the midfield.

Definitely a weekend to forget, but at least we ended it on a high.

There’s no drop round this year either, so the championship points haul is looking a little grim.

Oh wellllll. Onto the next one 🏁

IT’S RACE WEEK! 🏁🔥

We’re back at The Bend this weekend for another round of Circuit Excel SA, and we’re LIVE on Kayo!

Car #95 is ready; we’re ready… now it’s time to go racing.

If you can’t make it trackside, tune in and follow along from home!

Absolute chaos at turn 6! A multi-car pileup. We somehow threaded the needle and came out unscathed, gaining 7 positions. Pure luck!

An enormous accident in Circuit Excel. One car launches and rolls multiple times, thankfully with no serious injuries.

Two weeks until we’re back on track for Round 3 of Circuit Excel SA. 🏁

Until then, here are some photos of the organic spacer that goes between the steering wheel and the seat.

Not exactly the fastest way through the corner... 😅
On the bright side, I managed to flat-spot all four tyres at the same time.
That's got to count for something, right?

If you jumped on the Nickelback hate bandwagon, you were objectively wrong.
I don’t make the rules. 🤷‍♂️
