Chardi Kala Sports Club Adelaide warmly invites the entire Adelaide Sikh and wider community to our 5th Annual Athletics Meet, being held on:

We sincerely request all Indian/Punjabi Sports Clubs, Gurdwara Sahib Committees, Sikh Games Committees, families and community members across Adelaide to attend with your families and children and take part in this special sporting event.

This event is being organised with the support and cooperation of the wider Adelaide community. Let us come together to encourage our children to participate in sports, provide them with positive guidance, and strengthen community unity, friendship and togetherness.

🏃‍♂️ We encourage all parents to register their children and arrive on time to make this sporting day a great success.

⚠️ Important: There will be NO registrations on the day of the event.

CLUB ANNOUNCEMENT!

Woodville Hockey Club would like to warmly welcome Selvaraju Sandrakasi (Raju), who arrives in Adelaide from Malaysia this Saturday morning.

Raju will take on the role of Senior Men’s Coach and work with our Green Machine Junior Development program. With over 100 senior international caps for Malaysia, and extensive experience playing and coaching around the world, we are incredibly excited to have someone of his calibre join our club.

In the coming weeks, Raju will be joined by his wife Pushppa and their two daughters as they settle into life here in Adelaide.

We encourage all members of the Woodville community to give Raju and his family a warm welcome and help make them feel at home.

Thanks Westminster Hockey club

🏑 Westies Hockey Club vs Adelaide Sikhs Hockey Club 🏑

Tonight we took on the Adelaide Sikh Hockey Club in a pre-season clash at Woodville, in what proved to be a fantastic hit-out ahead of the upcoming season. The Sikh team is preparing to travel to Melbourne over Easter to compete in the National Games, and we wish them every success for the tournament. A special mention to our very own Mani (Mangat Maninder), who helped coordinate the match and will be representing the Sikh side. Best of luck, we’ll be cheering you on from Adelaide.

Our Westies line-up featured a great mix of players from across multiple grades, coming together for the challenge. It was a valuable chance to shake off the cobwebs, test structures, and get some quality minutes into the legs ahead of Round 1.

The match was played in a terrific spirit, with both sides showcasing skill, pace, and sportsmanship throughout. For the record, the Sikh Team won 3-1.

We thank the Adelaide Sikh Hockey Club for the contest and their hospitality, and once again wish them all the very best as they represent on the national stage.

Come n Join Play Hockey

Our Men’s teams kick off pre-season next week.

An exciting international announcement regarding our Men’s Head Coach for 2026 is coming soon.

In the meantime, Ori Gasparini will take the reins until the new coach arrives. Krishna Purohith will be running some extra fitness and social events.

All new players are welcome as we continue to grow and develop both our teams and club facilities.

A big thank you to Peter Redding for his commitment and contribution to the club in the role throughout 2025.
