Massive weekend down at Lucindale Karting Club! Saturday was their round of the 125 X Series followed by a short format they named "Fast 40" on the Sunday. This meant Erin could debut in 125 Light's and try to get 2 out of 3 signatures in her log book which made the trip down there a bit more of an option. (That plus we like the track and the people too 😉)
Happy to report she was on the pace in the 125 from lap 1 and completed all 18 races in both the 125 Light and the KT Light classes.
On Saturday Erin drove the KT to the top spot overall and went forward in every 125 race finishing a respectable 5th in the final having started at the rear.
Then on Sunday she backed it up with a solid 2nd in the KT followed by her first 125 podium finishing 3rd.
Erin hadn't raced 2 classes in 1 meeting before, let alone 2 classes 2 days in a row so it was a great experience for her even though she was definitely feeling it yesterday!
Huge thanks to everyone at Lucindale Karting Club for their hard work and hospitality. It's not easy putting race days on and even more so to back that up with a second day/event, but you all did an awesome job 👌and it's always fun catching up with some of our favourite dirt kart people down there too. Hopefully we'll make it back for the Limestone Coast 2 Dayer 🤞
Next stop, Adelaide Dirt Kart Club this Saturday followed by some Australian Titles practice and preparation at Loxton Kart Club on Sunday. It's another busy week in the shed and on the road but hey, that's just what we do! See you all soon 👊
