Round 3 🏁
What a weekend! I had the honour of having Stiff on the side. A huge thank you to him and Crash for trusting me, and for all the coaching and guidance throughout the weekend. I learnt so much and really appreciate the opportunity.
Day 1 didn’t quite go to plan, with a loose fuse causing the fuel pump to stop working TWICE! Same section laps 1 and 2. Unfortunately, that cost us a lot of time, but that’s all part of racing.
Day 2 was a completely different story. After spending the first day getting to know how each other worked, we came out and were fast from the start. We did have a crash towards the end of Spring Hut Creek, which cost us some more time, but overall I’m really happy with our riding!!
It took me a minute to get used to how vocal Stiff was but once I adjusted, it worked really well. He had me choosing lines I never would have thought of myself, and showed me things I simply wasn’t seeing before. This weekend really opened my eyes to how the guys up the front of the field ride, and I’ve come away with plenty to work on and improve.
Thanks again Stiff for your patience, knowledge, and for pushing me outside my comfort zone.
