During this week's football training at Kylin Sports, the coach conducted a thorough pass and run training session for the children. Football games require strong teamwork and to achieve seamless cooperation with teammates, it is essential to master the fundamentals of running and receiving the ball.

Throughout the practice, the coach patiently emphasised the importance of focusing on the ball while passing, encouraging the young players to keep the ball close to the ground and pass it swiftly. Additionally, the players learned to observe the positions of their teammates and the passing routes while running, resulting in a significant improvement in their passing efficiency.

Passing and receiving are fundamental skills in football, serving as the foundation for all other techniques. They are widely used and essential in the sport.

During today's training session, the coach instructed the children on using the inside of their feet to pass the ball. This technique involves utilising the triangular area formed by the large phalanges, scaphoid, and calcaneus of the foot. This specific part of the foot provides a larger contact area, allowing for smoother ball control.

Through the coach's careful demonstration, the children gradually grasped the concept and their passing and receiving actions became more standardised.

In the training courses for Kylin Sports U7 and U8, the children's passion for football remains strong.

During this stage, the children's balance and body movement control has entered the early sensitive period. This is a crucial stage for developing a sense of ball control and enhancing physical coordination and flexibility.

To address these aspects, we have incorporated simple coordinated exercises and ball training into the course. Additionally, we have included specific skills training to help young players become proficient in using both their left and right feet with the ball.

At this stage, we also begin to introduce the concept of tactical cooperation to the children. We incorporate training exercises that require two players to work together, helping them develop an understanding of teamwork. These skills will be further applied in passing and confrontation exercises in the future.

The inaugural "Skills assessment” organised by Kylin Sports Youth Football Club was successfully completed last Saturday.

During this test, the coaches conducted individual skill assessments on children aged U5 to U12, grouping them according to their respective age categories. The test comprised various activities such as the standing long jump, 50-meter sprint, shooting around the pole, running with the ball, ball control, directional shooting, and 4x20-meter running. All the children performed admirably and displayed great cooperation throughout the test.

Kylin Sports would like to express their gratitude to all the parents, friends, and club sponsors for their unwavering support. Moving forward, the club plans to conduct these tests annually, meticulously recording the data and witnessing the children's progress and development alongside their parents.

In order to prepare for the Academy League event in October, Kylin Sports Club completed an internal qualification match last Saturday based on the principle of fairness, justness and openness.

According to the skill set of each child, the coach conducted a group test on the children born in 2014/2015, also assessing technique in the children's directional dribbling, stopping, touch pass, match and other skills and other skills, and scored them according to their performance.

The selected 12-14 children will be trained in September, and the children who are not selected will also have the opportunity to be selected in other competitions in the future.

1on1 Soccer shooting drills ⚽️

Soccer is an outdoor sport and it is very important for kids to learn how to play soccer under adverse weather conditions.

Bad weather does not automatically mean training will be cancelled. A good soccer player needs to adapt to the different climate conditions and be intelligent making them play to his favor.

Children can develop physical skills faster in the rain. Due to slippier conditions on the grass, the ball moves faster than usual , children need to work harder to maintain good balance, further improving their coordination and gross motor skills.

Alongside maintaining a strong balance, children will need to use critical thinking skills while they manage risks and evaluate performing different activities.
