Am Mittwoch, den 20.5.2026, abends, ging es nach dem ersten Turniertag zu einer Awardfeier im Preston Palace, bei welcher Teams geehrt wurden, welche: ⚽ zum ersten oder wiederholten Male teilnahmen,
⚽ Einzelpersonen als "Ambassadors des Walking Football" geehrt wurden, die besondere Leistungen für die Walking Football Community erreicht haben, wie Benson, Pi und einige mehr,
⚽ Personen geehrt wurden, welche weit über Walking Football hinaus großartige Aktionen setzen für Menschen mit besonderen Bedürfnissen... u.v.m.

Jan's (in) offizielle Walking Football Hymne sorgte für grandiose Stimmung und gute Laune😊, während der Auftritt des "Rest of the world" Teams mit einer Gesangsdarbietung des Welthits "We are the world" mit all den anderen wundervollen Walking Football Spielerinnen für einen absoluten Gänsehautmoment sorgte.💖

Nach diesen emotionalen Momenten und einer Stärkung des leiblichen Wohls, fand die "Black and White" Party im Preston Palace statt - Zeit, um Freundschaften zu pflegen und die wundervolle, internationale Gemeinschaft der Walking Footballer zu genießen.🌏🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇵🇱🇩🇰🇦🇹

On Wednesday evening, May 20, 2026, after the first day of the tournament, an awards ceremony was held at Preston Palace. Teams were honored for: ⚽ participating for the first time or as a returning participant,

⚽ being recognized as "Ambassadors of Walking Football" for their outstanding contributions to the Walking Football community, such as Benson, Pi, and several others,

⚽ individuals who have made significant contributions beyond Walking Football to support people with special needs... and much more.

Jan's official Walking Football anthem created a fantastic atmosphere and a great mood 😊, while the performance by the "Rest of the World" team, featuring a rendition of the global hit "We Are the World" with all the other wonderful Walking Football players, provided an absolutely goosebump-inducing moment. 💖

After these emotional moments and some refreshments, the "Black and White" party took place at Preston Palace. Time to nurture friendships and enjoy the wonderful, international community of walking footballers. 🌏🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇵🇱🇩🇰🇦🇹

Am Mittwoch, den 20.5.2026 geht es los, das Jubiläumsturnier des Almelo City Cup.⚽
Vom Hotel mit Bussen abgeholt, geht ins Stadion des Heracles Almelo Sportclubs.
Zu Beginn gibt es einen feierlichen Einzug aller Teams mit anschließender Fotosession der Mannschaften.
Schon beginnt das großartig organisierte Turnier.
Tolle Schiedsrichter stehen bereit, die Teams sind motiviert, der Wettergott zeigt sich von allen Seiten...
So durften unsere Herren bei strömenden Regen spielen, während die Damen bei strahlendem Sonnenschein ballesterten.😜
Am Nachmittag nach dem Turnier ging es zurück ins Hotel, in welchem eine beeindruckende Award Feier stattfand, bei welcher das A-Team für seine erstmalige Teilnahme erwähnt wurde.
Nachdem sich alle Teams bei leckerem Abendessen gestärkt hatten, ging es zur "Black and White" Party...
Was für ein Tag...☺️

May 20, 2026, the Almelo City Cup anniversary tournament kicks off.⚽ Picking up from the hotel by bus, we head to the Heracles Almelo Sports Club stadium. The tournament began with a ceremonial entrance of all the teams, followed by a team photo session. The superbly organized tournament then gets underway.

Excellent referees are ready, the teams are motivated, and the weather is unpredictable... Our men's team played in pouring rain, while the women's team played in brilliant sunshine. 😜
In the afternoon, after the tournament, we returned to the hotel for an impressive awards ceremony, where the A-Team was recognized for their first-ever participation. After all the teams enjoyed a delicious dinner, we headed to the "Black and White" party... What a day!☺️

Unbelievable event💪

Am Dienstag, den 19.5.2026 geht die Reise für Vier von uns los nach Holland zum 10ten Almelo City Cup.⚽
Ein Turnier mit 32 Herrenteam und 16 Damenteams aus 7 Ländern.
Unsere Damen bekommen Unterstützung aus England und Holland, unsere Herren unterstützen das dänische Team Bold Klub.💪
Ein erstes Zusammenkommen mit einem Goodie Bag und herzlichen Willkommensgrüßen findet bereits am frühen Nachmittag statt.
Anschließend gibt es eine Entrada aller Teams durch Almelo City.
Nach all dem Trubel wird der Rest des Städtchens auf eigene Faust erkundet.
Schön langsam neigt sich der Tag dem Ende zu und das A-Team kehrt zum Preston Palace zurück, um sich auf den nächsten Tag vorzubereiten...am Mittwoch steht der erste Spieltag am Plan⚽👍💪

On Tuesday, May 19, 2026, four of us will be traveling to the Netherlands for the 10th Almelo City Cup. ⚽ A tournament with 32 men's teams and 16 women's teams from 7 countries. Our women will be supported by players from England and the Netherlands, while our men will be supporting the Danish team Bold Klub. 💪
A first get-together with a goodie bag and warm welcomes will take place in the early afternoon. Afterward, there will be a parade of all the teams through Almelo City.
After all the excitement, the rest of the town will be explored independently. The day is slowly drawing to a close, and the A-Team returns to Preston Palace to prepare for the next day...on Wednesday the first match day is on schedule ⚽👍💪

Wenn beide unserer Trainer verhindert sind, und somit das Training in den Händen der SpielerInnen liegt...😬🤔..wird der Teamgeist gestärkt und gemeinsam ein geniales Training "zusammengestellt"💪
Auch das ist Teambuilding☺️...
aber lieber Rob und Peter - ihr braucht nicht glauben, dass ihr ab jetzt "chillen" könnt😅...dieser Job gehört euch😉⚽

When both of our coaches are unavailable, and training is therefore in the players' hands...😬🤔 ...team spirit is strengthened and together we put together an awesome training session 💪 That's team building too ☺️... but dear Rob and Peter - don't think you can "chill" from now on 😅...this job is yours 😉⚽
