Killington is putting their mountain where their mouth is when it comes to slope safety: anyone who purchases a helmet at Killington Sports between Jan. 12 and Jan. 20 will receive a one-day lift ticket good for the rest of the current ski season. The offer is a nod to the fact that January is National Safety Awareness Month.

Helmets are priced from $64 and up, so considering that Killington lift tickets are currently hovering in the $100 range, this offer really is a no-brainer when it comes to protecting yourself from serious or fatal head injuries and getting a free day on the slopes with your smart new gear.

It’s November 2nd and if you follow Falling Down Mountains then you must be excited for the frost we have already experienced in Central Massachusetts. Sadly, we can’t make any turns in frost but snow is indeed going to be here soon. The early season expectations for opening day at many Northeast resorts are hopelessly optimistic as you can see.
