It’s been a minute since I last drove my kart…

Racing has been my life ever since I was 11 years old, when I won my very first race. From that moment on, I never finished lower than 2nd place.

Eight years ago, I made the decision to step away from racing—not because the passion was gone, but because I had a bigger mission.

To build the next generation of Egyptian champions.

Since then, every early morning, every late night, every sacrifice has been focused on giving talented drivers the opportunity I once had, and helping them fight for podiums around the world.

Five years ago, my phone rang. On the other end was a 15-year-old kid with a hundred questions about racing and a fire I’ll never forget.
From day one, Hamza committed—training with me three times a week, pushing himself on track and working even harder off it. Over the years, he became more than a driver… he became like a son and a best friend.
His parents—especially his father—have been incredible, always believing, always supporting. Today, they’re seeing that belief pay off.
🏆 Hamza El Metainy is the Senior 170 IAME Preseason Champion in Egypt and now sets his sights on the IAME Middle East Cup title.
