One million dirhams.

That’s what waiting 10 years to start investing costs you, not from making bad decisions or spending it. Just from waiting!

500 AED a month is less than most people spend on eating out in Dubai. The barrier to starting is almost never the amount - it’s the delay.

Save this and send it to someone who keeps saying they’ll start next month!

If you’ve been wondering how to actually structure your money each month - this one’s for you!

Last week I sat down with Sam on the Aligned and Unfiltered podcast and we talked everything money and Dubai 💸

Breaking down the 50/30/20 rule - one of the most well known budgeting frameworks out there and a great starting point if you’ve never had a clear structure before.

The full episode is out now and honestly we covered so much more than just this. If you’ve ever felt confused about where to start with your finances in Dubai, go give it a listen 🎙️

Do you actually follow the 50/30/20 rule or do you have your own system? 👇🏼

Nobody’s impressed by what’s in your driveway at 3am when the bills are due…

The women I admire most aren’t the ones with the flashiest lives. They’re the ones who have quietly built security for themselves - who aren’t one bad month away from panic!

What do you actually value in the people around you?

A love letter to my pre-Dubai self - the one who thought “tax-free” meant everything would magically work out 😅

If you’re moving to Dubai soon, or you recognise yourself in any of these slides, the expensive lessons are completely avoidable! I learned most of mine the hard way so you don’t have to.

Save this and send it to a friend who’s about to make the move 🤍

The most powerful thing you can do for your child’s financial future costs less than you think 🤔

It just needs to start today!

Compound interest rewards one thing above everything else - time. The longer your money is invested the harder it works. And the earlier you start for your children the more time is on their side.

Sooo about that 4,000 AED furniture budget I set myself…

I spent over 10K.

I’m not embarrassed about it. Because this is actually what good money management looks like in real life!

I didn’t panic. I didn’t put anything on a credit card. I didn’t touch my emergency fund. I had a pot for this because I plan ahead for exactly these moments. The budget was a starting point, not a ceiling and I had the financial cushion to make that call deliberately and without stress.

That’s the difference between overspending and over-budgeting. One leaves you anxious. The other leaves you with a nice new mattress 😄

This is what we’re building towards… Not perfection and not rigidity. The kind of financial foundation where life can happen and you don’t have to panic about it!
