90s was peak ingenuity in the Hobby, IMHO. You did not need AI to create fun ways to attract hobbyists - just remarkable designs that piqued and sustained interest.

From POG-shaped cards like the 03 Fleer Ultra Roundball to the ergonomic keychain swivel-style of the 96 Skybox Ex Gravity Denied, these captured attention.

From brand partnerships to revolutionizing “cards” that played through CD-ROMs, or cards that were “books” - 90s truly gave you a feel for something unique, organic, raw.

Mind you, they did not have to cost $$$ as well. These cards were just… Fun.

In a letter obtained by The Athletic, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's lawyers asked UnderdogSports to “permanently cease and desist from any and all use of Mr. Gilgeous-Alexander’s NIL in any and all media."

This follows a promotion in which Underdog created a version of the board game Operation where the buzzer went off for a foul anytime Gilgeous-Alexander was touched.
