The players who must leave Chelsea Football Club this night. Not tomorrow, this night!
1. Noni Madueke
2. Noni Madueke
3. Kiernan Drewsbury- Hall
4. Jordan Sancho
5. Benoit Badishile
6. Marc Guiu
7. Filip Jorgensen
8. Malo Gusto
You would notice that I mentioned Noni twice in this list. That is how bad he's been as a footballer. Selfish, with an overrated opinion of his abilities, conceited, tactless, unidirectional, predictable and utterly wasteful. That he played regularly at all is a sign of how low the quality of players Chelsea currently have is, especially in the front areas. He's at best Championship material. Definitely not one for the Premier League. At least not yet...
Kiernan has been as ordinary as he's been inconsistent. With a mouthful of a name, and scarcely known Premier League pedigree, one is at a loss how he ended up in a Chelsea shirt. Well, now that he's shown what he's capable of, or incapable of, it's time to send him back to wherever he came from.
Jayden Sancho is a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma. A permanently promising player who is undoubtedly talented, and with a sterling stint in the German Bundesliga, it is confounding how consistently inconsistent he's been in the Premier League. Whether in his parent club Manchester Umited, or on loan here where he was expected to unravel and prove his doubters wrong, he permanently flattered to deceive and made it difficult to rely on him. Now that he's not been able to thrive in the EPL, maybe the Ducth Eredivisie would be a good place to go next. Think FC Twente or Go Ahead Eagles...
Benoit Badishile should just go home, or anywhere he so fancies but he must leave the club tonight. Whatever belongs to him will be waybilled to him later!
I cannot remember a single match where Marc Guiu rose to the occasion. He may be a young player, but we have seen other young players stake a claim for a place in their teams. Unfortunately, he's not done so and he needs to go somewhere where he may have to relearn the basics of being a striker!
Jorgensen is a decent AVERAGE goalkeeper. But average is exactly what we don't want. He needs to leave so we can get a proper safe hands whom Sanchez will understudy as a reserve keeper.
Malo Gusto runs all across the right wing, headlessly sometimes. But neither his defensive abilities nor his final ball consistently makes one look forward to watching him. He's basically that guy who when he has the ball, you hope he doesn't do anything silly. Now that we will be facing stronger opposition in the Champions League, he needs to make way for a decent back up for Reece James.
When Enzo Maresca was appointed, I remember my House member KufreAbasi Edidem differing with me on his abilities and his capacity to manage Chelsea Football Club. According to him, anybody would do better than Pochettino. In fairness to him, he's got the team back into the Champions League, though by a lot of huffing and puffing. This is about the only reason I would support his being retained for the next season. But he needs to up his ante, buy the right players, learn how to make the best use of them, learn how to dominate games and inspire his players to be more mentally strong, and also buy some passion from somewhere.
