๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฟ World Strongman at the Ministry of Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan

Today in Tashkent, representatives of World Strongman held an official working meeting at the Ministry of Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan with Deputy Minister of Sports, Mr. Shakhrillo Sharipovich Makhmudov.

The key topic of the meeting was the organisation of the Strongman World Cup, scheduled to take place on 1 June 2026 in Tashkent.

The meeting also covered several strategic areas of cooperation:

โ€ข opening Asian Strongman Federation offices in Tashkent and Andijan;
โ€ข supporting the digitalisation of sport in Uzbekistan;
โ€ข exploring the broadcast of the World Strongman Championship 2025, held in Dubai, on national television in Uzbekistan.

This meeting marks an important step in strengthening cooperation between World Strongman and Uzbekistan, as well as further developing Strongman sport across Central Asia.

Uzbekistan has strong sporting potential, active government support for sport, and the opportunity to become one of the key regional centres for Strongman development in Asia.

World Strongman expresses its sincere gratitude to the Ministry of Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan and personally to Mr. Shakhrillo Sharipovich Makhmudov for the constructive dialogue and support for international sports cooperation.

By the decision of the World Strongman Executive Committee, it has been approved to establish the European Strongman Federation with its headquarters in Vienna, Austria.

The new structure will serve as a regional coordination center uniting national federations, clubs, and partners across Europe โ€” aimed at strengthening governance, development, and international representation of the sport.

The initiative proposed by Mr. Mahdi has been officially supported by the Executive Committee, marking a strong step toward deeper cooperation between European and Middle Eastern federations.

The composition and leadership of the European Strongman Federation will be decided during the Annual Congress of World Strongman in December 2025, held alongside the World Strongman Championship in Dubai.

This milestone represents a new era of unity, growth, and professionalism for the global Strongman movement.
