Why is it important to STAY HYDRATED?
It is crucial to your health and well-being to keep hydrated, but many people don’t consume enough fluids each day. Adult human body is made up of 50-70% of water and to function properly all the cells and organs need water.
Even MILD DEHYDRATION (fluid loss of 1-3%) can drain your energy, impact mood and brain performance or even trigger headaches and migraines.
Drinking water helps in preventing and relieving constipation, decreases the risk of kidney stone formation and can promote WEIGHT LOSS.
It is most important to drink plenty of water when:
You have fever
Weather is hot or humid
You have diarrhea and vomiting
You sweat a lot
Pregnant or breastfeeding
Daily water intake from food and drinks should be
3.7l (125 oz or 15,5 cups) for man
2.7l (91 oz or 11 cups) for woman
80% of the recommended intake should be from water and drinks such as milk, freshly squeezed juices, herbal teas and the rest will be from food.
