The Moment a CEO realised his team didn't need to be replaced!
They needed Coaching...

This week, I had an eye-opening conversation with a CEO we all respect in our community.

He’s got a team of senior leaders—Heads of Departments and Directors—but despite their experience, they’re falling short.

Some lack charisma, others are stuck in old ways of managing, and some can’t seem to bring the vision the company needs.

He’s constantly getting pulled into tasks that shouldn’t even be on his plate, feeling stuck between supporting them and worrying that bringing in new people won’t help either. "They just don’t want to work the way we need them to," he told me.

But here’s the turning point:
I told him his team isn’t the problem.
They have the potential; they just need to be coached; and he doesn’t have the time to do it himself.

So why not hire a coach to lift them to the level they need to be at?

In that moment, I saw his eyes light up.

He realized he didn’t need to replace anyone or carry the burden of development alone.

🌟 The Moment I Chose to Lead, Not Just Manage 🌟

Ever had that moment where your gut was screaming at you to take a risk, but everything else told you to play it safe? 🙋‍♀️

That was me. Managing a big corporate event, everything mapped out down to the last detail. The client wanted predictable and safe. And I had all the data saying, "Stick to the plan."

But something felt… off. 🤔 The usual routine wasn’t enough. "Is this really the best we can do?" I asked myself. Then, one week before the event, the speaker bailed, and the plan went up in smoke. 💥 Panic set in.

At that point, I had a choice: play it safe or take a leap of faith.

What if we threw out the old script? What if we dared to make it unforgettable? Was I crazy for even thinking it? 🤯

I pulled the team together and said, “We’re going for it. No more playing small!” We brought in live performances, added new experiences, and took a chance on a lesser-known speaker. 🎤

The night of the event, my heart was pounding. Did we go too far? Would it work?

And then… the room came alive. The client was thrilled. "You didn’t just manage an event; you created magic!" ✨

That’s when I realized: Leadership isn’t about taking the safe route. It’s about trusting your gut, taking the bold steps, and creating something extraordinary. 💪
