This whole Zac Lomax situation has officially jumped the shark.

The NRL’s response to the R360 saga has gone from “integrity review” to straight-up witch-hunt. No charge, no breach, no finding of wrongdoing — yet Zac’s the one getting paraded like he’s committed some sort of footy crime against humanity.

Let’s be clear: having a manager doesn’t make you guilty of anything, and punishing a player pre-emptively because the optics are uncomfortable is weak as p**s governance. Due process apparently only applies when it’s convenient.

Meanwhile clubs, agents and third-party deals have been operating in grey areas for decades, but suddenly this is the hill the NRL wants to die on? Spare me.

If the league had any backbone, they’d either charge him properly or get out of the way. Instead we’ve got leaks, vibes-based enforcement and selective outrage.

Let the man sign with the Roosters.
He’s a professional, he’s done nothing illegal, and the precedent being set here is dangerous for every player who isn’t in the NRL’s good books.

Integrity isn’t optics.
Justice isn’t a press release.
And this whole thing reeks of overreach.
